Since students from Indiana University in my town Bloomington being mostly gone for the Summer it’s been pretty quiet back there, save for a flash flood or two. While I miss setting up shows with my event production company Rad Summer, it’s given me a chance to gear up for my late Summer move to Philly, fit in some touring (more on that in a minute), and put some goodies together for the interfriendsphere. On that note I’ve got two new mixes up for download: A short mix for Baltimore Club mainstay Unruly Records’ radio show, and an hour long glimpse of my current favorite tracks to pump fists, cut rug, and sing along to: Summer Transit Insanity Mix vol. II!
But there’s an important difference between vol. I and vol. II: Last year’s first Summer Transit Insanity Mix was composed in Ableton on the road, this one was finished barely before I left town, using my Rane TTM-57 Mixer and turntables to record live in one take. I’ve got nothing against Ableton mixes but I’ve been working like a dog at honing my mixing craft and want to show off what I can do in a live setting!
